MULTIPURPOSE LATEX MORTAR ADDITIVE

Description

Davco EW1 is a synthetic, latex based mortar additive designed for use with Portland cement and sand to prepare high strength, thin set mortar or with neat Portland cement as bonding agent. Ideal for installing ceramic tiles, marble, slate and natural stone onto concrete, cement render, rendered brickwork surfaces or over existing tiles.

Uses

Davco EW1 is specially formulated for use in conjunction with cement based tile adhesive, and also for use with Portland cement to make bond coats for mortars beds and for dry set mortars. Davco EW1 can be used:

• as an additive to mortars for fixing ceramic tiles, pavers, marble, slate and natural stone onto concrete, cement render, blockwork and rendered brickwork surfaces

• in conjunction with sand and cement as a splash coat to fix render, or bed tiles over uneven concrete

• as an additive to strengthen cement render coats

• as an additive in sand-cement mixtures

• as a latex binder in thick bed mortar fixing

• as a bonding agent/primer (when mixed with cement) prior to screeding / leveling compound
